Nashville-based singer-songwriter Casey Weston is originally from Naples, Florida. At 15 Casey cast aside her family’s obsession with volleyball and began teaching herself to play the guitar and write songs. Casey took to the coffee shop and honkytonk open mic circuit to learn the ropes and hone her craft. Casey appreciated the immediate feedback, both positive and negative, from the intimate settings and live audiences of the local bars, coffee shops, malls and parks.

Winning a local radio station contests led Casey to open for national touring acts like James Otto and Craig Morgan. On April 7, 2009 Casey won first place in the regional Colgate Country Showdown in Arcadia, Florida. That exposure provided opportunities to perform in front of thousands of music fans opening up for rising young stars like Justin Moore and seasoned Grammy winners like John Anderson.

In the spring of 2011 Casey auditioned for the inaugural season of NBC’s The Voice. Her top 8 finish led to a brief national tour with the show’s top 8 performers and the opportunity to collaborate with serious musicians and music business professionals that she still stays in touch with. Casey quickly finished high school and committed herself to her music career full-time. She moved to Nashville, TN and continued to grow and learn from co-writers, and 70-plus live shows a year at colleges, music festivals and other venues around the country.

Casey’s music is greatly influenced by listening to her parent’s music such as The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and Bob Seger. Casey enjoys a wide variety of music including dance, pop, country, reggae, and rock. Casey says that her lyrics tend to be story-based like country with her melodies and riffs inspired more by pop and rock music. Casey’s current music heroes are Gavin DeGraw, Ben Rector, Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks.

Casey has released a self-titled debut EP in 2009, Find the Moon, a 13 track album in 2013, singles, Back to the Start and The Good Times in 2013 and Fallin for a Lie in 2014. On February 14, 2015 Casey released her latest album, Young Heart.

Casey loves to write songs and her goals are to align herself with a strong team and seek more and more opportunities to share her music through radio, and open up shows for some of the more established national touring acts that she admires.
